Welcome to Differentiation Through Personality Types. The title refers to a graduate level course for teachers in SAU 24, New Hampshire. Visitors not enrolled in this class are also welcome to contribute to these conversations as long as it’s honest and respectful.
Students are expected to check the blog regularly for notices, discussions, and ideas, and each student is expected to create at least one page to add to the collection of material.
The instructor is certified by the Center for Applications of Psychological Type (CAPT) to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which is the basis for the information covered in the class. She used type theory in her own classroom for ten years, so she knows that respecting type differences among people can make a difference.
The header photos are of student work — 8th grade students in the instructor’s classes. Once the instruction was completed, students were asked to create a product that showed their understanding of their own type. These products could be pieces of writing, or visual pieces such as posters, sculptures — virtually anything was allowed, and the students consistently demonstrated excellent learning of the unit.
